If you have read my earlier blog posts you might know that I am 11th class student with PCB. And I think for getting good grades the most important thing one has to do is revision. Now some people think revision is nothing but reading one and only thing again and again but that is not the case. According to me revision is almost equivalent to recalling. And if you practice questions you will be able to recall the information you learnt. If you just read out the text it is like learning the topic again. Active recall is like squeezing our brain to get out previous information while reading is just accepting that yes I read that. A 10 minute active recall sessions is much more efficient then re reading the topic for 1 hour. If you want to practice active recall you can make questions from the text. What do I do is that I use google docs and voice type different questions while reading the text for the first time and then when I want to revise I go through the questions that I made and the whole text we be recalled. In this way I use active recall for revision.

So in India, a myth is hyped that physics is very very tough for a student who has opted for biology. If you would have met me last 6 months I THOUGHT the same thing but I wanted to know why I cannot do physics and I asked myself the same question and answer was very simple :”I have not experienced what physics really is and not practiced it.”(btw I was curious specifically of quantum physics). So I decided to give it a try and learn physics in a specific scheme. I remained open minded and I told myself ‘How difficult a physics can be? After all it is what we experience each and every moment.’ I following this scheme 👇: 1. Understand the concept with the application of formula. 2.Do some practice problem relayed to that concept (if I am not able to solve it this means that I did not understood the concept or I did not ANALYSE the question perfectly). 3.Find the variable in a problem and connect different dots together. According to me one cannot be a prodigy in physics by birth(example:Albert Einstein was not very good at studies when he was 4-5 years old but he developed his mind to ask the RIGHT question and became the work most renowned physicist). So do not be afraid be open-minded.

Hey internet, Alpha here, a student from India. I love biology and physics a lot. I am starting blogging to just learn and gain experience about the internet. I just want to learn something new. I have opted for PCB(physics,chemistry,biology) in my 11th grade. I love biology a lot. But wait! If you would have met me 2 years before I would have told you that biology was all about remembering things(typical hindi word ratta) but trust me it is opposite of it. Till grade 8th I just remembered every info (did not tried to learn concepts) and it fetched me 94% in grade 8th. But my instinct always told me something was missing. In 9th I joined a tution class, by which my mindset towards learning changed drastically. I have a sir at tution who is really very educated and passionate about teaching and learning. He is a PROFFESOR in biology. After learning science from him for 1 year I got to understand the real meaning of what is biology all about. That’s it for today.
